West Reservoir Centre offers a North London wedding reception in a former waterworks setting. The reservoir outlook and historic filter-house character make it appealing for couples who want an industrial venue with open space and light around it.
Waterworks character beside the reservoir
The Main Tower retains a sense of its original purpose, with machinery and water-tank features contributing to the atmosphere. Deck areas add another perspective on the water. Its strongest quality is the contrast between a substantial industrial interior and the calmer landscape outside.
Making room for photographs
I would use the reservoir setting for a brief portrait session while keeping access and weather in mind. Inside, a few wider photographs can show the building’s scale, followed by closer pictures of the gathering. Plan evening lighting carefully so the industrial features remain atmospheric rather than disappearing into darkness.
