Venue guide · Wedding photography

Caswell House brings Cotswold stone, timber beams and garden spaces together in an Oxfordshire wedding setting. It is a strong option if you like the warmth of a barn wedding but want the day to feel carefully composed.
Barns and gardens that work together
The restored barns have flagstone floors and exposed structure, while the courtyard and gardens provide a softer counterpoint. An outdoor ceremony option at the historic Loggia adds another way to use the setting. The appeal is this balance of texture and order: rustic materials, but with spaces that can support a clear progression through the day.
Making room for photographs
I would look for a short portrait route that moves from stone architecture to greenery, rather than asking you to leave the party for a long walk. The barn can hold atmosphere beautifully as daylight falls. Lighting for speeches and dancing should preserve that warmth while keeping faces visible.
Before you book
Ask which ceremony options work for your date and guest count, and when a weather decision needs to be made. Confirm accommodation allocation and access for preparations. A simple wet-weather portrait plan within the barns will make the day feel less dependent on sunshine.
