Planning note: this is a suggested two-venue itinerary. Walthamstow Wetlands and MKII must each confirm their availability and arrangements separately.
A Walthamstow Wetlands ceremony followed by a reception at MKII can create an East London wedding with a distinct change of mood. The nature-reserve setting and a flexible Lower Clapton event space offer complementary ideas, but require separate bookings and careful timing.
From a landscape setting to your own party space
The Wetlands’ Engine House gives the first part of the day a strong identity. MKII, associated with Mark & Marko, offers a former industrial space that can be shaped around the reception. The appeal is creative freedom: ceremony atmosphere at one location and a personally planned meal and party at the other.
Making room for photographs
I would complete the essential groups and a short portrait session at the Wetlands before the transfer. That allows the reception to begin without another long photography pause. Agree any reserve portrait route in advance, then keep the journey realistic for the whole guest group.
Before you book
Confirm both venues, the legal ceremony arrangements and MKII’s current reception provision before booking transport. Check catering, furniture, technical requirements and access times. Allow for traffic and mobility needs; these venues are not a single site or a confirmed joint package.
